16 Days of Action – How we’re supporting survivors

16 Days of Action (25th November – 10th December 2022) is an annual global campaign which calls for the end of violence against women and girls. We’re proud to be an organisation that is committed to helping survivors.

During the height of the pandemic, we launched the Safe Place campaign. Have a listen to our On Air podcast episode. In the episode, Stonewater colleagues are joined by Gender and LGBTQ+ specialists from Southall Black Sisters and Victim Support in exploring why an intersectional approach to domestic abuse is key; highlighting the many challenges and barriers marginalised groups and individuals face when trying to flee domestic abuse and access support.

This year, we really want to bring the work we’re doing in refuges to the forefront and showcase how as front-line responder, we are doing our best to ensure survivors have sanctuary.

Watch our two short videos and hear from our colleagues and customers in our life-changing refuges.

Christmas in Refuge

Our refuges have created Wishlist's to provide gifts on Christmas day, birthday presents throughout the year, and essential items for new residents such as toothbrushes, bedding and pamper or craft items for events throughout the year.  If you are unable to donate, please share across your networks!

Wishlist's mean that whilst the items list can be purchased by anyone who wants to help, the address of safe spaces can stay protected, and the parcels are still able to be delivered.
