Boil Water notices issued to customers in the South West
We’re aware that some of our customers have been affected by the Boil Water notices in the South West of England.
What is a Boil Water notice?
Boil Water notices are issued when certain parasites are found in tap water. They indicate that you should not drink your tap water without first boiling it and allowing it to cool. This applies to water used for drinking, cooking, preparing food or brushing teeth. Boiled water can be stored in a covered contained in the fridge for up to 24 hours.

What support is available?
South West Water has arranged water collection points for customers to collect bottled water. Customers registered for Priority Services will have bottled water delivered directly from South West Water. All customers who have been issued with the Boil Water Notice will receive a compensation payment – check out the South West Water website for more details.
