It’s Time to Protect

 It’s that time of year, where coughs, viruses and colds are easily caught.  Keep yourself and your loved ones safe this festive season and book your free flu jab if eligible. 

You are eligible for a free flu vaccine on the NHS if: 

• You are 50 and over (including those who will be 50 by 31 March 2023) 
• have certain health conditions 
• are pregnant 
• are in long-stay residential care 
• receive a carer's allowance, or are the main carer for an older or disabled person who may be at risk if you get sick 
• live with someone who is more likely to get a severe infection due to a weakened immune system, such as someone living with HIV, someone who has had a transplant, or is having certain treatments for cancer, lupus or rheumatoid arthritis 

If you are eligible for a free flu vaccine, you are also likely for a season covid-19 booster. This will have to be booked separately.  

You can easily book a flu vaccine at a GP surgery, pharmacy (if you're over the age of 18) and some maternity centres.
