Storms Dudley and Eunice
Storm Dudley has caused disruption across the country, with high winds, snowfall, and flooding. Travel has been affected and gale-force winds have damaged trees and buildings, with many households suffering power outages.
Storm Eunice is set to move across the country tomorrow (Friday 18 February), and the Met Office has issued a red alert weather warning for some regions.
We are seeing increased demand on our Customer Service Centre with high call volumes, and as a result waiting times on the phone may be longer than usual. If your query can wait, please try calling us again next week, or you can email us.
If you have a non-urgent repair to report, please do so via MyHome - just click here to login or sign up. You can also pay your rent, check balances, update your details, or send us messages through MyHome.
If you need to report an emergency repair, please do call us on 01202 319 119 and we’ll help you as soon as possible. Please note, as a result of Storms Dudley and Eunice, call volumes are very high and wait times are longer.
If you have a power cut in your area, check ukpowernetworks.co.uk or text POWER and your postcode to 80876. You can also call 105 – it’s free, and you’ll get through to your local network company to report the power cut. For more information, click here. If you're vulnerable and might need extra support during a power cut, call 0800 028 4581. We also urge customers who need extra support to register for the Priority Services Register.
UK power networks advises:
- Charging up your mobile phone before the weather hits and using a rechargeable mobile power bank
- Using a phone with a cord if you have one - cordless landlines don’t work in a power cut
- Checking your torch is working and has spare batteries
- Keeping doors closed on freezers - they remain cold for hours
- Keeping warm by dressing in warm clothes and having extra layers to hand
- Looking out for vulnerable neighbours and calling 105 if they need assistance
- Checking UK Power Networks' live power cut map on its website for updates in your area.
