Join the national social housing conversation

The government is setting up a new group for social housing customers to help drive improvements for social housing across England – and they want to hear from you.

The Social Housing Quality Resident Panel will be made up of 250 social housing tenants from across the country with the aim of scrutinising, influencing and shaping major decisions on how housing associations operate.

You can apply to join the group here and, if successful, you will get the chance to have your say on important issues such as strengthening the Decent Homes Standard, training and qualification for staff, a new Access to Information Scheme and other planned reforms.

The Resident Panel will be supported by a national survey. Around 5,000 residents will be asked to share their views about their landlord’s services during March and April 2022. The survey will be used to monitor the impact the reforms will have on tenants. You can find out more about the panel here.

Any social housing customer can apply for a place on the panel, regardless of how long they have been a resident. Deadline for applications is 29 April.
