The benefit cap and support available

Gov-logo

The benefit cap will affect thousands across the country and Stonewater is committed to helping those whose income will be affected.

It’s important to know not all benefits are included in the cap. You can find the list of exemptions, as well as the cap amounts, on the government website.

There is a page on our website that talks you through the steps to ensure you’re getting all the support you are entitled to. We also have a dedicated Income team and we work with many organisations who can offer support if you are struggling.

If you’re worrying about money, paying your rent, the rising cost of energy bills or other costs such as groceries, please get in touch as soon as possible so that we can arrange an appointment at a time that suits you.

If you need help with money, we may be able to help you access to grants through local charities and our partnership with Longleigh Foundation. You can also get exclusive support with money, health and wellbeing through Circles of Support and training to help improve your employability skills. By signing up for our free customer portal, MyHome, you can also get access to MyRewards discounts.

A full list of ways we can help support you is on our website, or you can contact us to find out more. Even if you’re not affected by the benefit cap, if you need help, get in touch. Whatever financial hardship you find yourself in, we won’t judge and are here to help.
