New team launched to help keep your home in good condition

We want to make sure your home is well-maintained and in good condition. To help us to do this, we’ve launched a new internal Stock Condition team. 

Every five years we carry out a survey of each of our homes, to check the condition they're in. This helps us to plan future maintenance work, like replacing kitchens, bathrooms, boilers, windows and roofs. 

Our new team is made up of specialist surveyors who are trained to assess the age and condition of different parts of your home. They’ll be visiting over 7000 homes each year to check what work might be needed and when to make sure homes are in good condition, comfortable and safe. 

Previously, these stock condition surveys were done by an external contractor, Savills. By bringing the team in-house, we can collect more detailed information on our homes, which helps us better plan the work needed to keep your home well looked after. 

You might notice more of our team members out and about in your neighbourhood. If we need to visit your home for a stock condition survey, we’ll always contact you directly. All our staff and contractors carry ID and will be happy to show it. If you’re ever uncertain or unsure about a visitor claiming to be from Stonewater, please don’t let them in and give us a call to check.
