Dragons’ Den 2023
Our 2023 Dragons’ Den winner, Teresa, blew our judges away with her stunning array of flower displays when she entered the competition.
Memories in Flower Preservation, Teresa’s business, came to life as a way of giving her something of her own to focus on and enjoy in her spare time. Teresa is a mum of two and full-time carer to one of them. For the past 18 years she has devoted her life to caring for them and her husband, who have all been diagnosed with autism.
Teresa has always enjoyed gardening, finding it a great way to de-stress and forget about all of the problems life brings. She said she has always wanted to work with flowers and enjoys creating new areas in her garden and beautiful pictures. This hobby inspired her small business, giving her the opportunity to earn money at the same time as doing something she loves to do.
Flower preservation is the art of preserving flowers either using a flower press or drying them. The flowers are then arranged in a framed picture or in a silicon mould using resin. This method means you can keep special flowers, like bridal bouquets, for a lifetime.
Teresa applied for Stonewater’s Dragons’ Den hoping to get funding towards her business, helping her to buy new moulds and promote herself within the area. If you’re in the Warwickshire, Leicestershire or Tamworth areas, you can send your flowers via post and Teresa will make something incredible, helping you to preserve your special memories.
