Working together with customers at Waterside Court
Estate walkabouts are a fantastic way for us to meet with customers where they live and for us to work together with them to improve local areas and communities.
In November 2025, we met with customers at Waterside Court in Leamington Spa to get a better understanding of what’s happening in their community. Our customers know where they live better than anyone. When they lead the way, we can focus on what matters, discover hidden issues, and make meaningful improvements.
During the walkabout with Stonewater, grounds maintenance contractors, Krinkles, and Just Ask cleaning, customers pointed out areas for improvements, including:
- Where moss had made pathways slippery, so we need to remove it
- Where we need to replace missing signage from around the scheme
- Communal improvements and repairs
- A suggestion for a new bike store
We’re acting on this feedback to make Waterside Court a safer and more welcoming place to live. We also supported customers on the day with any queries they had about their own homes.
During the visit, we saw that customers at Waterside Court take great pride in their community. They work hard to create a pleasant and enjoyable environment for everyone.
We want to give a special thank you to Matthew, a customer at Waterside Court, who was the driving force behind the walkabout. He was keen to work together with us to see how we could tackle some long-standing issues. He’s gone above and beyond to improve his local community. He’s volunteered his time to repaint and refresh the community bin store and given a well-used bench a new lease of life. Fantastic efforts that benefit everyone.
Matthew becomes a Community Champion
Matthew has recognised the value in being involved with us as a customer and how he can work with us to make a positive difference in his community.
He has kindly offered to be a Community Champion. This means he’ll volunteer with us regularly to report concerns every six weeks, such as fly-tipping, parking, or grounds maintenance and cleaning issues. He can also put forward suggestions and ideas for community improvements and potentially receive grants to help bring them to life.
We’re looking forward to welcoming Matthew to our team of Community Champions.
If you want to get involved as a Community Champion in your area, there are many benefits, including:
- Helping to build a safer, stronger, and more connected community where you live
- Opportunities to work with our colleagues and contractors to find solutions to local problems
- Suggesting meaningful projects and ideas that bring together your local community
We’ll continue to communicate and work together with customers on the issues and ideas at Waterside Court, and we look forward to visiting again soon.
