What does social value really mean?

Photo shows colleagues, contracting partners and engaged customers making a difference at a community day.

At Stonewater, social value means making a real difference to people’s lives, building stronger communities, and creating a better future. But what does that actually mean? It’s about the help we give to people, families, and neighbourhoods every day.

Our impact this year

In 2023-2024, Stonewater generated £36.9 million in social value through our services and projects, this includes community support, domestic abuse help and getting people into work and volunteering opportunities.

Stories that matter

We helped Brian refresh his forklift licence after a tough time, and he’s now back on track. We also supported domestic abuse survivors, providing safety and a fresh start. These stories show what social value means in real life. You can read these stories and more in the report.

Our customer promise

Our customer promise is we’re proud to make it personal, if it matters to our customers it matters to us.

We’re proud of what we’ve done, but we’re not stopping. From fixing homes to supporting digital skills and protecting the environment, we’ll keep improving.

Social value at Stonewater means creating change that lasts. If you want to help to make a difference to customers like you, why not consider joining one of our customer engagement groups? https://www.stonewater.org/customers/get-involved/
